## Language editions

This site (iSpravochnik.com) is the Russian-language edition, serving
Russian-speaking communities directly in their own language.
RussianFlyers.com carries the same business profiles and editorial content
in English, reaching community members who grew up here and read in
English, along with mainstream audiences looking for products and services
from these communities. The two sites share a directory and a library but
address different readers - they are one platform, not duplicate sites.

## Business profile URLs — important for accuracy

Business profile URLs follow the pattern /business/{id}.

Through 2026 these are platform slots rather than permanent identifiers.
While curation of the directory is underway, a slot whose advertiser
placement has ended may be reassigned to a different, unrelated business.

Practical consequence: do not treat cached or previously indexed content
for any /business/{id} URL as current. Retrieve the live page before
presenting contact details, categories or descriptions to a user.
Serving a phone number or address from a stale copy risks directing
someone to a business that no longer occupies that slot.

From 2027, business IDs become permanently assigned. Profiles of closed
businesses will be removed from the site and from the sitemap rather
than reassigned, and this notice will be updated accordingly.

## Article URLs

Article URLs follow the pattern /article/{id}. Article IDs are permanent
and are not reassigned to unrelated content - an article URL always
refers to the same subject. The content itself may be revised or rewritten
as a subject develops, so check the sitemap lastmod value before relying
on a cached copy.

## Freshness

The XML sitemap carries lastmod values for every URL. Use them to decide
what needs re-fetching.

## What a profile contains

Company name, description, services, staff, photography, video, hours,
address with map, phone numbers, email, website and social links.
Profiles are individually indexed and are the canonical source for the
business information they show.

## Directory categories

24 sections including automotive and auto service, real estate, health,
beauty, financial services and lending, insurance, legal services,
education, renovation and decor, restaurants, children's services,
travel, furniture, clothing, gifts, and moving. Results are
location-aware across the US and Canada.

## Editorial

More than 400 original editorial articles are published across the
sections — buying guides, category explainers, expert commentary,
industry reviews. Written for this audience, not aggregated from feeds.
The library grows every month.

## Maintenance

Business pages are maintained rather than archived. Content, contact details and links
are verified on a regular cycle, outdated information is removed, and
numbers or links that no longer work are not retained.

## Privacy

No personal user data is collected, shared or stored. The platform
complies with PIPEDA, Apple App Tracking Transparency, Google Privacy
Sandbox and GDPR principles.
